On the occasion of the 40th edition of the Florence Marathon, the organizing committee wanted to celebrate this important milestone by adding another side event:
On Sunday, November 24th, alongside the 42km race, the first edition of the 10K Florence Marathon will take place — a 10km FIDAL-certified competitive race aimed at everyone who wants to join the event but prefers a shorter distance! It will be a special opportunity to experience the event as a protagonist, running entirely through the historic center of Florence, with the finish line set in the stunning Piazza Duomo

MAXIMUM OF PARTICIPANTS 3000
- All Italian and foreign athletes who are regularly registered with an Italian sports club affiliated with FIDAL. As per FIDAL regulations, participation is allowed starting from the Allievi category, meaning athletes born in 2008 or earlier (age 16+).
- All foreign athletes registered with federations affiliated with World Athletics, in compliance with current regulations, must present a self-declaration certifying their membership.
- All Italian and foreign athletes residing in Italy and registered with a sports promotion body (EPS), aged 16 and up, possessing a RUN CARD EPS issued by FIDAL. Upon registration, participants must upload a valid MEDICAL CERTIFICATE FOR COMPETITIVE SPORTS, specifically for athletics, on the DataHealth portal. The certificate must be valid as of November 24, 2024. Uploading can be done after registration, but before the event.
- All Italian and foreign athletes, aged 20 and up, holding a RUN CARD. Participants must upload a valid MEDICAL CERTIFICATE FOR COMPETITIVE SPORTS, specifically for athletics, on the DataHealth portal. The certificate must be valid as of November 24, 2024. Uploading can be done after registration, but before the event. Foreign athletes not residing in Italy can present a certificate issued in their home country, provided it includes the same exams required by Italian law: a) medical examination; b) complete urinalysis; c) electrocardiogram at rest and under stress; d) spirometry. These exams must be listed on the medical certificate.
- Foreign athletes not registered with a federation may participate in the non-competitive event for tourism and sports purposes. In this case, the athlete will not be included in the FIDAL/WA ranking and will not be eligible for awards. Additionally, their race time will be recorded, but they will not be ranked. - Non-registered Italian athletes are not permitted to participate. At bib pickup, all participants must present a valid FIDAL membership, RUN CARD, or RUN CARD EPS.

Only online through the Endu platform until Wednesday, November 20, or until the maximum number of 3000 participants is reached.
Registered participants can collect their bibs and t-shirt at the Marathon Expo, Stazione Leopolda, Viale Fratelli Rosselli 5, on:
- Friday, November 22: from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM
- Saturday, November 23: from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM
The top 3 men and top 3 women will be awarded. Prizes will be provided by sponsors.
