Firenze Marathon joins the citizens of Florence in their mourning the death of footballer Davide Astori, player for the Italian national team and captain of the Fiorentina, who passed away last Sunday at just 31 years old.
During the 35th edition of the Firenze Marathon which takes place on November 15, 2018, the 13th kilometer of the race (in remembrance of his number 13 jersey) will be dedicated to Davide Astori.
The player will also be remembered during the traditional Marathon Mass which takes place every eve of the race.
